Reggin Industries is a Calgary-based leader in custom architectural metal fabrication and installation for the commercial construction industry.
We're growing our team and are looking for Sheet Metal Workers and Welders at multiple experience levels, from registered apprentices through experienced journeypersons.
This is a hands-on role involving a mix of custom shop fabrication and installation on commercial construction projects. Our work is varied, challenging and highly visible—ideal for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship and enjoys seeing a project through from fabrication to final installation.
Responsibilities:
This job involves a variety of tasks from working in the shop fabricating light structural components to installing the finished product at commercial construction job sites.
What You Will Do:
- Fabricate custom architectural and light structural metal components in our Calgary shop
- Perform welding, fitting, assembly and general metal fabrication
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings and specifications
- Lay out, measure and fit components accurately using drawings and established dimensions
- Operate fabrication equipment including brakes, shears, saws, drill presses, grinders and hand tools
- Grind, polish and finish components to meet architectural quality standards
- Install finished metalwork on commercial construction sites
- Identify fabrication and installation challenges and work with the team to develop practical solutions
- Handle and organize materials and finished products
- Maintain Reggin's standards for safety, quality and workmanship
Requirements:
- Registered Sheet Metal Worker or Welder apprentice (1st year or higher), or journeyperson
- 1+ years of relevant shop fabrication or commercial construction experience
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints
- Strong measuring, basic math and layout skills
- Experience using common fabrication equipment and hand/power tools
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills, take direction and solve problems
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting up to 75 lb
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours when project requirements demand it
