About Kelowna Dental Centre
Kelowna Dental Centre is one of the largest privately owned dental practices in the BC Interior — a multi-provider group practice in a newly renovated office with sixteen operatories, four dentists, an orthodontist, a denturist, a full hygiene department, and our own in-house dental laboratory. We are owner-operated by a practicing dentist. We are not a DSO or a corporate group.
Here's our honest reason for hiring: on a normal day we run six columns of hygiene with one to three dentists a day to cover the checks. Hygienists hold, waiting for an exam. Our doctors sprint between rooms and their own restorative day gets carved up. We've built sixteen operatories and there's a chair here waiting for another dentist. We're not short on space, technology, hygiene capacity, lab capacity, admin support or new patients. We're short on dentists.
Why this role is different
You are busy from week one — and here are the actual numbers, so you can judge it for yourself. We have over 7,700 active patients and take on roughly 144 new ones every month. We see roughly 30 hygiene patients a day — over 600 a month, up more than a third in the past year — across six concurrent hygiene columns. That exam demand is on the schedule today, before you start. Every exam is an opportunity to find treatment, diagnose it properly with time to actually look, and schedule it into your own chair. That is the most reliable way an associate's book has ever been built, and here it's already made. We won't claim your restorative schedule is full on day one — it builds out of those exams over your first weeks. What we will say, plainly, is that we guarantee you'll be busy. We're not dangling a daily income guarantee to make that credible; we're publishing the volume instead, so you can check the claim before you ever sit down with us.
You get your own operatory, and room to grow. You're not being squeezed into a shared chair or fighting for days. Sixteen operatories in a newly renovated office, and one of them is yours — there's genuine headroom here, and you can expand into it as fast as you want to.
You'll have real clinical support. Three associate dentists, a principal who does nothing but full-mouth implant dentistry, an orthodontist and a denturist all practise here. Complex case? A second opinion is a walk down the hallway. Mentorship comes from more than one doc, across a variety of dentistry that suits any skill level, with real depth in full-mouth rehabilitation and interdisciplinary treatment planning. Our owner is chairside and available — mentorship here means an actual person, not an onboarding module.
You're the relief, not another body. We're not hiring someone to run faster inside a broken day. Adding a dentist to the examination rotation is precisely what lets everybody — you included — stop sprinting and give each check the time it deserves.
You can grow into high-value dentistry. Through our New Teeth Today full-arch implant program we've completed 146 surgical cases. If you want to develop implant, surgical, and full-arch skills under supervision, that pathway exists here — and very few practices in the region can offer it.
The technology is genuinely current. CBCT, 3Shape TRIOS Lumina intraoral scanners, and Micron Mapper photogrammetry for full-arch implant work. Digital workflow from scan to seat, not a decade-old operatory with a scanner bolted on. If you've wanted to learn photogrammetry-guided full-arch, there are very few places in the country where you can do it on the practice's own equipment.
Our lab is in the building. In-house dental lab and in-house denturist. Our technicians design in exocad and 3Shape and produce on site across multiple mills and multiple 3D printers. Faster turnaround, a direct conversation with the person making your crown, and remakes handled without a courier and a two-week wait.
We remove the administrative load. Dedicated chairside assistant, treatment coordinators who present and finance your treatment plans, and dedicated staff for insurance verification and accounts receivable. You do dentistry; we do everything else.
Clinical autonomy is real. No corporate production quotas, no mandated treatment scripts, no head-office protocols. You diagnose and treat according to your judgment and your patients' interests.

What we're looking for
DDS/DMD with registration — or eligibility for registration — with the BC College of Oral Health Professionals (BCCOHP)
NDEB certification (or equivalency process underway for internationally trained dentists)
Comfort with a broad general practice scope: restorative, endo, extractions, crown and bridge, removable
Genuine interest in growing surgical/implant skills is an asset, not a requirement
Strong chairside manner and the ability to work inside a large, collaborative team
