Staff Plus is hiring a skilled MIG Welder to join our client in Scarborough, ON. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Duties
- Perform MIG welding on various materials, ensuring strong and clean welds.
- Will be trained to use laser welder.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Conduct quality checks on completed welds to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of prior experience.
- Proficiency in MIG welding techniques with relevant certifications preferred.
- Strong ability in blueprint reading and understanding of schematics.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
- Experience with machining processes is a plus.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and the operation of a press brake machine.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely; certification is advantageous but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
