Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Parantha Maker for our authentic Indian restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for traditional Indian cuisine, especially in preparing delicious, freshly made paranthas. This role involves food preparation, cooking, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Experience in the food industry, particularly in a restaurant setting, is preferred. The Parantha Maker will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience by creating flavorful and visually appealing dishes that meet customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Indian paranthas according to traditional recipes and restaurant standards
- Handle food preparation tasks including dough kneading, rolling, and cooking on tandoors or griddles
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including utensils and cooking equipment
- Assist with packaging finished products for dine-in or take-out orders
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Monitor ingredient freshness and communicate supply needs to management
- Uphold customer service standards by providing quality food in a friendly manner when interacting with customers or during food presentation
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or baking, preferably within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of Indian cuisine, especially in making paranthas and other bread-based dishes
- Strong understanding of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Kitchen experience with familiarity in using various cooking equipment such as tandoors, griddles, and ovens
- Prior experience in food packaging and presentation is desirable
- A passion for authentic Indian cuisine and customer satisfaction
