JOB OVERVIEW
Middlesex Therapy Centre is growing, and we’re looking for another, Registered Social Worker (RSW, MSW) or Registered Psychotherapist (RP) to join our team!
We’re a small and growing private practice that values therapy that feels professional, approachable, and human. We’re a close-knit team that enjoys connecting outside of client work too—whether that’s grabbing lunch together when our schedules line up or simply catching up between sessions. We’re looking for someone who is warm, reliable, confident working independently, and genuinely enjoys connecting with both clients and colleagues.
This position requires a minimum commitment of 10 in-person clinical hours per week, with the opportunity to grow your caseload over time.
AREAS OF EXPERIENCE
We’re especially interested in someone who has experience in one or more of the following:
- Couples therapy
- Family therapy
- Teens
- ADHD and neurodivergence
- First responders and helping professionals
- Burnout and workplace stress
- Anxiety and depression
Training or experience in CBT, IFS, EMDR and/or DBT is considered an asset.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples and/or families within your areas of competence
- Maintain consistent weekly availability
- Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality
- Follow OCSWSSW or CRPO standards and ethical requirements
- Collaborate and consult with the practice when needed
- Build and maintain strong therapeutic relationships with clients
COMPENSATION
This is an independent contractor position with a 60/40 split, starting at $99 per clinical hour/session.
There is opportunity for increased compensation over time, particularly for therapists who demonstrate strong client retention, consistency, and commitment to the practice.
REQUIREMENTS
- Master of Social Work (MSW) or equivalent graduate-level psychotherapy degree required
- Registered Social Worker (RSW) in good standing with OCSWSSW or Registered Psychotherapist (RP) in good standing with CRPO; qualifying registrants will not be considered at this time.
- Must carry your own professional liability insurance
- Eligible to provide psychotherapy in Ontario
- Minimum availability of 10 in-person clinical hours per week
- Consistent weekly availability
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently within a private practice setting
- Minimum 1+ year of experience working in a private practice setting
