Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle various grooming tasks. This role involves providing professional grooming services to pets, ensuring their safety and comfort while meeting client expectations. The Pet Groomer will play a vital role in maintaining the health and appearance of our clients' pets and fostering positive relationships with pet owners.
Duties
- Bathing, drying, and brushing pets to prepare them for grooming
- Trimming, clipping, and styling fur according to breed standards or customer requests
- Cleaning ears, trimming nails, and performing other health-related grooming tasks
- Handling pets gently and safely throughout the grooming process
- Maintaining a clean and sanitized grooming station and tools
- Providing excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare instructions
- Managing appointment schedules and ensuring timely service delivery
- Assisting with heavy lifting of pets or equipment as needed to ensure safety and efficiency
Requirements
- Prior experience in pet grooming or related animal care is CRITICAL
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their pets
- Ability to handle animals gently, patiently, and confidently during grooming procedures
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting of pets or equipment, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive motions
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work weekends or additional hours if needed
