Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and personable Barber/Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hair styling and delivering exceptional customer service. The Barber/Stylist will also assist with retail sales and front desk responsibilities, contributing to a welcoming salon environment.
Duties
- Perform haircuts, trims, shaves, and styling services tailored to client preferences
- Provide consultations to understand client needs and recommend suitable styles or products
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas and tools
- Upsell hair care products and retail items to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Manage front desk tasks including scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and processing payments
- Foster positive relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals
- Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and product knowledge to deliver modern styles
- Ensure a welcoming atmosphere by providing excellent customer service throughout each visit
Experience
- Proven experience as a Barber or Stylist in a professional salon setting
- Strong skills in hair styling, cutting, coloring, and grooming techniques
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety procedures within the salon environment
- Ability to upsell products naturally while maintaining a focus on client needs
- Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided for new team members
