POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is required to provide on site administrative support, providing an extension of the support provided by Managers and Directors after hours. The hours of work include but not limited to evenings, weekends and statutory holidays. The primary role of the Site Administrator is to provide support to the Charge Nurses/Team Leads with any issues related to clinical, patient flow, staffing, patient relations, public relations and risk management. This is a pivotal role in ensuring the safe operations of the facility continue seamlessly after hours.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three year College Diploma or Undergraduate Degree in Nursing OR Undergraduate Degree in Social Work required OR Masters Degree in Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy
- Member of a regulated college for specific discipline
- 7 to 9 years recent related clinical and administrative experience required.
- Must be a self-starter and able to critically think, evaluate and be decisive to direct staff in order to enhance safety for all concerned
- Ability to think critically to respond to a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to assess risk, and effectively utilize resources to support patient acuity while considering the global needs of the organization
- Ability to be self-directed and thrive in a dynamic environment
- Role models composure; Able to remain calm under pressure
- Demonstrates positive, collaborative working relationships with interdisciplinary health care teams
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to listen, engage, collaborate, negotiate, facilitate and entertain creative solutions in order to enhance patient flow organizationally and mobilize teams to achieve throughput
- Actively participates in and demonstrates support for continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Positive work and attendance performance essential
