Acton Academy Mississauga (AAM) is a private school looking for a dynamic and thoughtful person to join its staff as a Sparks Studio Guide, predominantly working with learners ages 4-6 years.

Other helpful background about the Sparks Studio Guide role:
● Experience working with mixed ages of young children
● Early Childhood Education credentials essential, as well as practical experience working with young children
● Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf or other similar training
● Deep curiosity and is ready to work hard in a small, tight knit and entrepreneurial environment
● Passion for disrupting traditional education
● Involved with planning out the Sparks Studio space, implementing learning arcs and day-to-day learning plans, pivoting with interest of learners
● Commit to a Guide and Studio contract, once finalized
● Facilitate Socratic discussions during launches
● Lead outdoor times and plan local field trips
● Help with school administration, as needed, for a growing school
● Current First Aid and Vulnerable Sector check required
● Experience working in small teams or for a start-up or entrepreneurial venture
● Deeply committed to a different way of delivering learning and supporting learner-driven education

Acton Academy Mississauga (AAM) is a learner-driven, 21st century private school, newly launched in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). We offer mixed age, learner-driven studios with the goal of empowering learners to discover their love of learning and individual strengths and call on them to change the world.
