We are seeking a skilled Appliance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of household and commercial appliances. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. The Appliance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering timely and effective appliance repairs.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with appliances using schematics and technical manuals
- Repair and replace faulty components in appliances such as washers, dryers, refrigerators, ovens, and HVAC systems
- Perform routine maintenance to prevent future breakdowns
- Test appliances after repairs to ensure proper functioning
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair issues and solutions clearly to clients
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used
- Follow safety protocols and industry standards during all repair activities
- Assist with assembly or installation of new appliances when required
Skills
- Electrical experience with the ability to interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
- Mechanical knowledge related to appliance components and systems
- Proven appliance repair skills across various brands and models
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus, especially for combined appliance-HVAC units
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple service calls
- Experience with assembly or installation of appliances is desirable
- Familiarity with schematics, troubleshooting techniques, and basic hand tools
