Job Summary
The Office of Government and Global Relations (GGR) leads Dalhousie’s working relationships with different levels of government, fosters partnerships and opportunities for the university to contribute to the economic and social prosperity of the province and country and leads the institution’s global engagement and international strategy. Reporting to the Manager of Global Partnerships, Global Partnerships Officer is responsible for coordination of global partnerships agreements and processes and provides partnership building support services.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of international academic partnerships and agreement types, including key contract components, relevant to all units of the institution.
Assist with the preparation, writing and editing of international academic partnership agreements and provide constructive review of partnership proposals with the goal of clarifying the scope of proposed and potential activities, articulating clear links to broader university strategy, and advising on and facilitating appropriate internal consultations.
Maintain clear records on agreement development status and records management systems for various types of contracts and agreements, amendments, supporting documents and correspondence, ensuring ongoing maintenance and quality assurance.
Maintain and continuously improve systems and tools to enhance partnership development and to inform and advise faculty members of opportunities, guidelines, deadlines and processes associated with international academic partnerships.
Support the promotion of Dalhousie’s global partnerships and activities including the development and maintenance of web-based materials, and support the organization of partnership related virtual and in-person events.
Note
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in relevant field, plus three years in a related role (or equivalent combination of training and experience) is required. Experience in a university environment in an area related to administration and international programs preferred. Must have demonstrated excellent organizational and communication skills, working independently and as a part of a dynamic team in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. Excellent attention to detail and teamwork, communication and problem solving skills are essential. Knowledge of commonly used office software packages required. Database experience and expertise an asset.
