Hiring Millwork assembly worker in Vaughan
Morning shift 7 am
Pay: $25/hour paid bi weekly
The ideal candidate will have direct, hands-on experience in assembling high-quality cabinetry and architectural millwork. You will be responsible for transforming raw/pre-machined components into finished products according to specific drawings and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Cabinetry Assembly: Assemble custom and production-grade cabinetry, vanities, and millwork units using dowels, screws, glue, and other fasteners.
- Hardware Installation: Install hinges, drawer slides, handles, pulls, and other necessary hardware accurately.
- Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and cut lists to ensure precise assembly.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products for defects, alignment issues, or structural flaws before they move to the finishing or shipping department.
- Tool Operation: Safely operate hand and power tools (e.g., drills, biscuit joiners, pneumatic nail guns, clamps, and saws).
- Workspace Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience specifically in cabinetry and millwork assembly.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with woodworking hand tools and pneumatic equipment.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to read measuring tapes accurately
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision.
