Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant/Cook to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist in meal preparation and cooking according to established recipes and standards
- Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, and measuring as needed
- Support food service operations by plating dishes and ensuring timely delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Handle food safely by following proper storage, handling, and hygiene procedures
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and rotating stock items
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and high-quality service
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques is highly desirable
- Restaurant or kitchen experience within the food industry will be considered an asset
- Familiarity with meal preparation processes and serving procedures is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential
