The Client experience & Technology Office Risk Analyst, is a supporting hero for the organization, working to connect across the organization to bring the data to the risk work that we do.
As such, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Risk Analyst to join our team. The primary responsibility of the Risk Analyst will be to conduct comprehensive and detailed risk assessments on large-scale initiatives within our organization. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in identifying potential risks, evaluating their potential impact, and providing recommendations for risk mitigation strategies. The Risk Analyst will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that risks are properly understood and managed throughout the project lifecycle. This role works to ensure collaboration across all areas of the organization and works to provide data, insights, and input to the enterprise risk management work that we do.
Please note that this is a temporary opportunity for up to 20 Months.
- Conduct detailed risk assessments on large-scale initiatives, including new projects, system implementations, process changes, and business expansions.

Identify and assess potential risks and their potential impact on project objectives, timelines, and financial outcomes.

Collaborate with project teams to gather relevant information and data necessary for conducting risk assessments.

Utilize established risk assessment methodologies and frameworks to evaluate and quantify risks.

Develop risk mitigation strategies and provide recommendations to project stakeholders and management.

Communicate risk assessment findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner, both orally and in written reports.

Control validation and assessment for effectiveness and adherence to process expectations

Supports the oversight of organizational processes and programs for mitigation of financial risk

Aggregate data related to risk strategies and key risk indicators

Monitor and track identified risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that risk mitigation measures are implemented effectively.

Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to risk assessment and management.

Participate in cross-functional meetings and provide expert advice on risk-related matters.

Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to ensure alignment and adherence to risk management policies and procedures.
Skills, experience & requirements
- Proven experience as a Risk Analyst or in a similar role, preferably within a large organization or financial institution.

Strong understanding of risk management principles, methodologies, and best practices.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and assess risks from multiple perspectives.

Proficiency in conducting quantitative and qualitative risk assessments.

Ability to effectively communicate complex risk concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Proficiency in using risk assessment tools and software.

Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards related to risk assessment and management.

Previous process engineering or process analysis experience

Knowledge of BASEL framework, ISO 31000, and the Three Lines of Defense model

Experience with policy auditing and reporting procedures

Analytical mind with the ability to break complex problems into manageable bodies of work

Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills with ability to independently solve problems

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Professional Risk Manager (PRM) or related certification is an asset
