Plant Manager
Salary Range: $115,000 to $140,000
Location: Entwistle, AB
As Plant Manager at DRAX, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of the plant, leading a team, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This critical leadership role will drive performance improvements, and operational excellence, and contribute to the business's overall success.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring optimal efficiency and safety.

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Track performance metrics and implement best practices for continuous improvement.

Manage budgets and optimize resource allocation.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations.

Drive sustainability efforts, supporting Drax’s low-carbon mission.

Prepare and present reports on plant performance to senior management.

Maintain a strong focus on sustainability and contribute to DRAX’s mission of delivering low-carbon energy solutions.
About you
You'll possess the following skills, abilities, and experience:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

Proven experience in plant or manufacturing management, preferably in the energy or heavy industrial sector.

Strong leadership and people management skills with experience in leading diverse teams.

In-depth knowledge of production processes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.

Experience in managing budgets, resources, and financial performance.

A commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
