Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IMG Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive patient care across various settings, including hospital, outpatient, and home care environments. This role involves collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality medical services, utilizing advanced electronic medical records systems such as Epic and Cerner. The Physician Assistant will support research initiatives, manage acute care cases, and contribute to patient education and treatment plans. Experience in pain management, pediatrics, and medical office procedures is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic clinical setting with a focus on patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations using medical terminology expertise
- Document patient encounters accurately within electronic medical records systems such as Epic and Cerner
- Assist in medication administration, phlebotomy, and data collection for research or clinical purposes
- Manage acute care cases, providing timely interventions and collaborating with physicians on complex cases
- Support pain management protocols and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
- Provide pediatric patient care, ensuring age-specific considerations are met
- Participate in home care visits to deliver ongoing patient support outside of clinical settings
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and hospital policies
- Contribute to research projects by collecting data and supporting clinical trials when applicable
- Perform basic medical procedures related to patient care in various settings
Qualifications
- Valid Physician Assistant certification with current licensure; international medical graduates (IMG) preferred
- Hospital experience or clinical practice experience in acute care settings is highly desirable
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Epic and Cerner
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient care protocols
- Experience with research activities, data collection, phlebotomy, and home care is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Prior experience in pain management, pediatrics, or medical office environments is a plus
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and clinical workflows
