About the Job
Our growing team is looking to hire our next construction leader. We are seeking a self-motivated take-charge individual to achieve our company's quality safety and production objectives. Reporting to the owner, these are some of the duties required. Additional duties may be assigned or fit the successful applicant's skill set.
Responsibilities:
Construction / site management includes coordinating subcontractors, material, and equipment, ensuring that completed specifications and work are on schedule and within budget. Superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.
The Role:
- Coordinating and overseeing all work on site.
- Review all plans and specifications and provide input promoting the most efficient ways of construction.
- Scheduling projects from start to finish and ensuring adherence to it.
- Resolve any issues which may arise by taking immediate action.
- Proactively plan and evaluate the construction process to prevent any loss in project momentum and build quality.
- Maintaining quality standards by creating job completion checklists for each trade and ensuring adherence.
- Screen and evaluate trades and suppliers.
- Review and approve invoices and charges for work done.
- Placing orders for materials and being responsible for equipment and materials on site.
- Following the project, timeline to ensure deadlines are complete.
- Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness.
- Maintaining records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders, and RFIs.
- Liaising with inspection authorities regarding approvals.
The Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years experience as a Construction Superintendent.
- Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and do minor touches and fixes.
- Passion for systems and getting the process "down to the science."
- Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications, and other documents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn construction management software.
