Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC laser cutting and programming, along with a strong mechanical aptitude. This role involves operating advanced machinery, reading blueprints, and ensuring high-quality production standards. Candidates with knowledge of plasma cutting, press brake machines, CNC lathe, CNC milling machines, welding, and other machining processes are encouraged to apply. Duties
- Operate CNC laser cutting machines with precision and efficiency, ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Program CNC laser equipment based on technical drawings and blueprints.
- Set up and calibrate machinery such as plasma cutters, press brake machines, CNC lathes, and milling machines.
- Perform quality inspections using calipers and other hand tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to produce accurate parts.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.
- Handle material movement using cranes or forklifts as required for safety and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in assembly processes when needed to meet production deadlines.
- Conduct routine inspections of finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment; familiarity with CNC programming is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of plasma cutting, press brake machines, CNC lathe, CNC milling machines, welding, and machining processes is desirable.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and calipers for measurement.
- Experience with crane operation or forklift certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, quality inspection techniques, and basic math skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety standards and quality assurance.
