DESCRIPTION
In this highly visible role, you lead a team that is a critical bridge between Mosaic and its clients in defining and establishing the measurement and analytics approach. Your primary responsibility is to understand client needs and preferences, deliver actionable insights that support client decisions, and establish program impact.
You will lead a team to support analytics business requirements, set standard lead times with the client service team and deliver consistent, high-quality outputs that surprise and delight clients. Additionally, you will partner with the Sr. Director to support team vision, strategic initiatives, and tasks that progress measurement and other analytical services within the Strategy and BI group.
This includes but is not limited to working with clients (internal & external) to define the scope of each project, engaging, and directing internal &/or external analytics partners, quoting/pricing, project management, and client presentations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analysis and Data Science Expertise: Strong technical skills in data exploration, visualization, statistical analysis and casual modeling techniques including regression, propensity score matching, and difference-in-difference.
- Sales and Survey Measurement Design: Experience setting up appropriate tests for measuring our effect on sales and training efforts. Able to support survey design to ensure we correctly control for our impact.
- Decision Making Support: Provide valuable, relevant insights to inform client decision-making through client communication, timely solutions and data storytelling.
- Experienced Strategist and Manager: Utilize consulting and project management skills to oversee all phases of analytics implementation including requirements, analysis, design, execution and delivery. Manage and communicate scope of work, schedule, and budget to provide our clients with meaningful solutions is areas of program measurement, testing and experimentation, ad-hoc insights, coverage optimization, and thought leadership.
- Executive Vision Steering: Steer program investments and priorities in analysis technology, personnel and analytical development to maintain a best-in-class team. Provide strong client leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
- Drives Data Culture: Collaborate with business leaders to develop and adopt services, tools and workflows to progress team strategic initiatives and business development. Work within the team to continually optimize data and analytics processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications-Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Data Science, Computer Science, Geography, Economics Required
- Master’s Degree Preferred
- 5 to 8 years work experience
- 1 to 3 years supervisory experience
Minimum Qualifications-Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- History of strong customer-facing experience, with extraordinary communication skills to present complex information in a simplified fashion to facilitate understanding and action
- Strong technical skills in data analysis and science tools including Python, R, and SQL; Experience in big data tools (GCP, BigQuery, Databricks) or geospatial (ArcGIS, QGIS) is a plus
- Good knowledge-base in data science, marketing and consumer-centric social science (consumer decisions, market research, consumer experience, etc.)
- Technically acclimated in Office and/or G-suite applications and various BI tools experience is a plus (Looker, PowerBI)
- Keen insights on branding, marketing science, technology, and key industries (CPG, retail, B2B, digital)
- Meet tight deadlines, prioritize workloads and achieve results in a fast-paced, dynamic, environment
- Proven ability to timely complete projects and achieves results in an ambiguous work environment
- Superior blend of analytics and consulting skills
- Lead the creation of business and marketing objectives related to your data, measures and methods
