Position Summary: Teach CMPT 304: Web-Application Design in the winter term of the 2019/20 academic
year. This class meets Tuesday/Thursday from 12:30-2:00 p.m. and the appointment will include two 3-hour
lab sections.

Course Description: CMPT 304: This course introduces client-side and server-side development for
creating modern Web-applications. Client-side development topics include HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and
JavaScript libraries. Server-side topics include backend processing including input parsing and sanitation,
developing asynchronous Web architectures using AJAX, and simple interactions with external data sources
such as databases. Social issues related to Internet applications will be presented.

Academic Qualifications: Minimum of a Master’s degree in Computing Science with graduate level course
work in teaching area; Ph.D. preferred.
Salary: M.A. Lecture: $3,878 - $4,957 (depending on experience)
Ph.D. Lecture: $4,525 - $5,388 (depending on experience)
M.A. Labs: $3,393 - $4,337 (depending on experience)
Ph.D. Labs: $3,960 - $4,715 (depending on experience)
