The City of Lougheed is looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing Guest Experience Representative to help create memorable experiences for our community. This unique role combines exceptional guest service with event support, community programming, and marketing initiatives. Your days will involve welcoming guests, assisting with Centre services, capturing social media content and helping bring events to life.
The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with people, thrives in a dynamic environment, and wants to gain hands-on experience in events, community engagement, and shopping centre marketing.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
GUEST EXPERIENCE
- Deliver exceptional guest service and create memorable experiences for every guest.
- Act as an Ambassador for The City of Lougheed by having the most up to date knowledge on all in Centre events and programming, retailer information, and all Centre and Guest offerings.
- Assist with all Guest Service offerings such as wayfinding, gift card sales, gift wrap, kiddie car or wheelchair rentals.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to guest inquiries.
- Dispatch other departments to communicate guest requests or issues via a 2-way radio device.
MARKETING AND EVENTS
- Assist in the planning, setup, execution and teardown of Centre events, activations and community programming.
- Represent The City of Lougheed at events and engage with guests in a welcoming, energetic manner.
- Capture photo and video content for use across social media and marketing channels.
- Assist with creating engaging social media content, including Instagram Stories, Reels and event coverage.
- Help design and prepare event and promotional materials.
- Support retailer promotions and community partnerships during events.
OPERATIONS
- Complete regular centre tours, ensuring all brand standards are being maintained.
- Maintain and balance a cash float at the end of every shift.
- Assist with administrative tracking, inventory and reporting.
REQUIRED TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years of previous experience in events, hospitality, retail or tourism.
- Experience assisting with events, marketing or community programs is considered an asset.
- Comfortable taking photos and videos for social media.
- High levels of competency with Microsoft Word, Adobe and Microsoft Excel.
- University or post-secondary education an asset.
- Second or third language an asset.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Displays service excellence in dealing with internal and external guests, colleagues, and partners.
- Has initiative, takes personal ownership and is able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Creative, energetic and adaptable.
- Performs job duties in an accurate, detail-oriented, and productive fashion.
- Possesses strong interpersonal skills and is outgoing in nature when dealing with the general public.
- Basic graphic design and knowledge of InDesign is an asset.
AVAILABILITY
- Interested candidates must be available Thursday – Sunday.
- Monday – Wednesday shifts occasionally available.
- Shifts will be 4 – 8 hours per day.
Pay Range: $18.75 - $21/hour
