Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Digital Press & Mimaki Printer Operator to join our dynamic production team. In this role, you will operate and maintain our digital printing equipment, including Mimaki printers, ensuring the production of vibrant, high-quality printed materials. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical aptitude, manufacturing experience, and a strong commitment to quality and efficiency.
Duties
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot Mimaki digital printers to produce various print jobs with precision and consistency
- Monitor print quality throughout production runs and make adjustments as necessary to meet specifications
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of printing equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with material handling, loading substrates, and managing inventory within the production area
- Collaborate with the packaging team to prepare finished products for delivery or shipment
- Maintain accurate records of print jobs, machine maintenance, and production logs
- Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean, organized work environment at all times
Skills
- Proven experience operating digital printing equipment, particularly Mimaki printers or similar machinery
- Mechanical knowledge related to printer maintenance and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including quality control standards
- Warehouse experience with material handling and inventory management
- Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment (certification preferred)
- Strong understanding of packaging procedures for finished printed materials
- Knowledge of machining or mechanical systems is an asset
