Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipper/Receiver to join our warehouse team. This role is essential for ensuring the accurate and efficient movement of goods, inventory management, and timely order fulfillment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, accuracy, and efficiency are prioritized.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks or other material handling equipment
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging products securely and accurately
- Receive incoming goods, verify quantities against purchase orders and packing slips
- Organize and store inventory in designated warehouse locations following proper procedures
- Pick and pack orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy in order picking and fulfillment processes
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and receipts using warehouse management systems
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all warehouse activities
- Help with changing out breaks in production room when needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related roles preferred
- Experience operating forklifts preferred; current certification an asset
- Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurement, and documentation
- Familiarity with packaging materials and order fulfillment processes
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Basic computer knowledge
This position is for Monday - Thursday 6am-4:30pm (40 hours/week)
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
