POSITION TITLE: Utility Team Member – Vehicle Detailing
REPORTS TO: Service Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Utility Team Member is a conscientious and reliable individual. They have a passion for customer service, cleanliness and organization. They have good time management skills and attention to detail. They are a team player with a positive attitude. They push hard to take excellent care of our customers. Providing honest and reliable services is non-negotiable. Under the leadership of our Service Manager they will pick up and drop off customers/parts, clean the interior and exterior of vehicles, perform building/equipment maintenance, and other cleaning and organizing projects. More than anything it is their responsibility to make our customers happy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in customer vehicle intake by gathering some basic vehicle information
- Drive to drop off and pick up customers, customer vehicles, and parts/equipment
- Work with team members to deliver on-time and quality service
- Shop Clean up including: sweeping, dusting, garbage removal, moping, waste oil disposal, waste fluid disposal, bathroom clean up and any other duties requested by management/ownership
- Vehicle Detailing: Exterior Wash, Exterior Wax/Clay-bar/Sealant, Interior vacuum, Interior dust and wipe, Interior Shampoo, Interior Steam Clean, Interior crevices cleaning, Tire clean/shine/deep-clean, Interior plastic restoration,
- Building and equipment maintenance and repair
- Adhere to shop safety standards, taking all possible precautions to insure the safety and health of self and others through maintaining a safe work environment
- Follow standard operating procedures
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Shop opening and closing duties
- Other duties as assigned by the Service Manager or Owner
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong Affinity for cleaning
- Attention to detail
- Two Years of previous Vehicle Detailing Experience Required
- Good Communication Skills: fluent spoken and written English required
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s license and clean driving record/abstract
- Must provide own steel-toed safety boots
- Valid High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Basic computer skills: ability to use a web browser, perform web searches, ability to type
- Must be able to lift 50lbs repeatedly throughout the day
- Must be able to stand and exert a well-paced mobility for up to 8.5 hours in length on a regular and continuing basis.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, work overhead and lay prone in a variety of positions and angles
- Must be able to work in an environment that includes the following hazards and be able to wear the appropriate PPE: repeated loud noise exposure, high temperatures and heat stress, working with hazardous chemicals and lubricants, proximity to moving mechanical and hydraulic parts, electrical current
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
