Job Description
This is an entry level position for someone looking for a career in the construction industry. Position is primarily based in office, although work site visits are required. Specific tasks may include, but not limited to:
- Review project tender drawings & specifications
- Prepare quantity take-offs
- Liasson with subcontractors & suppliers to maintain supply chains and pricing
- Work with Project Manager to prepare project tenders and quotations
- Maintain project documentation – drawing revisions, RFIs, change orders, etc.
- Prepare close-out documentation such as as-built drawings, warranties, operation and/or maintenance manuals as required
- Work with Project Superintendent to execute projects with focus on quality control measures
- Support operations to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory standards are met
- Assist with company health & safety program and work towards promoting a strong safety culture
- Participate in stakeholder meetings as required
Employee Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Engineering or related field required
- Understanding of National Building Code, and related legislation & regulations preferred
- Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office 365, CAD or other software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong mathematical, analytical and problem solving skills
- Organized and detail-orientated
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work on tight deadlines when required

Pay: $52,000.00-$62,400.00 per year
