Hours per week: 40 hours per week
After-Hours & On-Call Rotation: Will be required to work after-hours/weekends during on-call rotation after adequate training is provided
Wages/Salary Information: Competitive hourly wage based on experience
Job Description:
- Assemble and install refrigeration and heating components such as motors and compressors
- Read wiring diagrams, and install and calibrate related controls,
- Recharge systems with refrigerant and perform routine maintenance checks,
- Service and repair diesel engines and related parts,
- Repair and replace parts and components and overhaul entire refrigeration systems,
- Interact with transportation drivers and dispatchers to understand customers’ repair and maintenance needs, and
- Maintain a respectful, safe and clean working environment

Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Manitoba Class 5 (or higher) Driver’s License and a clean driving record is required
- Interest and/or desire to learn and work with refrigerated transport units such as Carrier, Thermo King, and/or Zanotti reefer/heater units
- Knowledge and/or experience working with refrigerated transport (reefer/heater) units is an asset; employer will provide training
- MOPIA certification is required (employer-paid training will be provided)
- Ability to identify electrical and mechanical defects in refrigerated transport units before conducting repairs, services, and/or routine maintenance
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong multitasker and ability to work independently or with a team
