Job Summary
Join our dedicated team as a Child Care Supervisor, where you will lead and oversee the daily operations of a vibrant early childhood education environment. Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operations of the childcare centre and ensure compliance with all BC Child Care Licensing Regulations, health and safety requirements, and centre policies.
- Lead, mentor, and support Early Childhood Educators and childcare assistants.
- Prepare staff schedules and ensure appropriate staffing ratios are maintained.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate high-quality early learning programs in accordance with the BC Early Learning Framework.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that supports children's learning and development.
- Monitor children's progress and support educators in documenting observations and developmental milestones.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, staff, and community partners.
- Assist with staff recruitment, orientation, training, performance management, and professional development.
- Maintain accurate enrolment records, attendance records, incident reports, and licensing documentation.
- Respond to parent inquiries and resolve concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure classrooms, equipment, and outdoor play areas are clean, safe, and well maintained.
- Support continuous quality improvement and promote a positive team culture.
Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Valid BC Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate.
- Valid Infant Toddler Educator (IT) Certificate is considered an asset.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience working in a licensed childcare centre.
- Minimum one (1) year of supervisory or leadership experience in a childcare setting is preferred.
- Valid Emergency Child Care First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- Successful Criminal Record Check.
- Strong knowledge of the BC Early Learning Framework and BC Child Care Licensing Regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
