Position: Program Coordinator 1 – Seasonal Temporary Position –Christmas Program
Location: all Deltassist location and within the Delta community
Grid Level: 12 Step 1
Wage/Salary: $30.95 per hour (current HSA Agreement)
Shifts Schedule/Hours per Week: to be determined - please note this is a seasonal position up to 500 hours

Job Summary:
Deltassist is a mission-driven, community-based, non-profit society and the incumbent in this position must be able to commit to the Mission and Values of the Society, and work within a child-family centered, strength-based, service model.
The Program Coordinator for Christmas implements and oversees the day-to-day activities of the Christmas Program, working alongside the Community Services Coordinator.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Participates in program development, policies and procedure formulation, program evaluation,and budget preparation.
· Plans and implements activities and special events for the program.
· Oversees the day-to-day operation of the program by ensuring that the necessary facilities and equipment are in place, program guidelines and policies are adhered to, and program standards and licensing requirements are met.
· Recruits, selects, dismisses, orients, trains, monitors and provides support to program volunteers.
· Makes recommendations to the supervisor regarding program development, policy and procedure formulation, and program evaluation.
· Promotes public awareness of and support for the program by performing duties such as producing promotional materials and attending community events.
· Liaises with community service providers and other professionals to coordinate service provision, facilitate referrals to the program, and represent the organization or program at external events.
· Monitors and authorizes program expenditures and maintains financial records in accordance with established procedures. Provides input to the supervisor in the preparation of the program budget.
· Maintains related records and statistics and produces reports as required.
· Performs other related duties as required in relation to the program.
Qualifications include
Education:
Diploma in a related human / social service field.
Training and Experience:
· Two (2) years recent related experience. Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered
· Highly organized, with attention to detail
· Recent experience working with Microsoft Office software including Access.
· Recent experience working with Canva software preferred.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Previous experience working in a community-based Christmas Program will be ideal.
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Additional:
· Must have current certification in First Aid/CPR
· Ability to speak a second language is an asset
· Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s licence.

Job performance must be at a satisfactory level and will be assessed in the fulfillment of the above relevant job duties, including performance and evaluation reports and disciplinary records in accordance with Article 11.4(d) of the Collective Agreement.
