About the Shipper / Receiver Role
The Shipper / Receiver is responsible for processing sales orders for processing sales orders for shipping to include, but not limited to, kitting & packaging parts, loading and unloading trucks , preparing pick sheets for national and international shipments and coordinating efforts with shop office.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepares documentation for shipment of materials, parts, finished goods and related items.
- Prepare products for shipping by following instructions on pick sheets
- Load & unload trucks and trailers
- Operate stand up & sit down forklift, overhead cranes, jib cranes, hand carts etc.
- Verify that materials shipped are as ordered in both type and quantity.
- May be required to kit up work orders
- May route incoming shipments to proper departments or destinations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience within a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Forklift and Overhead Crane experience required.
- Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively build relationships with co-workers.
- Ability to work under pressure with time constraints.
