Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, and support the overall efficiency of our dental team. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly environment with a focus on patient education and oral health promotion.
This position is for Saturdays and every other Monday to start.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent oral disease
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
- Keeping your operatory stocked and organized
- Maintain accurate patient records using Abeldent
- Manage patient scheduling, answer questions, and ensure a positive patient experience
- Assist in maintaining a clean and sterile clinical environment in compliance with IPAC standards
- Perform intraoral scans as needed (will train)
- Collaborate with team members to improve workflow and patient satisfaction
Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in good standing with CDHO
- Prior experience working in a dental office setting is preferred, but new grads welcome to apply
- Knowledge of IPAC
- Strong customer service skills with a caring attitude toward patients of all ages
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $53.00-$60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 7.0 per week
