Summary
As the leader in high-performance networked video interfaces, Pleora has been at the forefront of the Machine Vision industry for 20 years, focusing on embedded/machine vision, IoT and networked video switching. As a Manufacturing Operator, you will assemble, program and test electro-mechanical assemblies while maintaining Pleora’s high quality standards. You will thrive in a dynamic team environment and effectively multi-task competing priorities.
What you do
- Manufactures electro-mechanical assemblies to Pleora’s quality and labour standards
- Proactively assesses resource availability (e.g. material, labour, and equipment) and takes action to resolve imbalances
- Maintains and improves upon a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Collaborates and performs cross functional work assignments in a small team environment
- Maintains and develops skills supporting multiple operations /manufacturing disciplines
- Other duties as required of the job
What you need
- High school diploma; or combination of education and related work experience
- 5+ years’ experience in a fast paced electro-mechanical manufacturing team environment
- Lean Manufacturing & process improvement experience
- IPC-A-610 certification
- High attention to detail & quality
- High degree of manual dexterity
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience loading FPGA programming, testing & inspecting printed circuit and mechanical assemblies
- Soldering, PCA and mechanical assembly, rework/reconfiguration skills
- Knowledge of IPC manufacturing standards and anti-static material handling procedures
- Data entry & computer experience (e.g. ERP systems, MS Office suite)
- Inventory management skills including; cycle counting, kitting, issuing
- Experience in shipping & receiving routines is an asset
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds
