The Community Investment Section of the Social Development Branch is looking for highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Analysts to join their team. Reporting to an Evaluation Analyst, this position is vital to the Community Funding Strategies team. What will you do?
- Develop and implement data strategies to enhance data collection, reporting, and decision-making processes
- Analyze performance metrics and financial data to report on identified trends and inform program improvements
- Ensure effective data management practices, including data collection, validation and reporting
- Manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with and support community organizations in varying reporting capacities, including providing advice and process improvement
- Escalate decisions on resources, project scope, and budget expenditures to the supervisor
- Work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Foster strong relationships and effective communication
Qualifications:
- University degree or diploma in Business, Public Administration, Social Sciences or a related discipline
- A minimum of two (2) years’ of analytical experience including research and synthesizing information for decision-making purposes and report preparation
Assets:
- Experience working with community organizations and program evaluation
- Knowledge in Public Sector Granting
Skills required for success:
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement strategies and statistical analysis techniques
- Proven ability to analyze data, gather and interpret information and synthesize findings effectively
- Ability to write clear and concise policy documents, reports, and other communication materials
- Knowledge, skills, and ability in project and process management
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience using data management tools and software applications (e.g., Google workspace or Microsoft applications), and ability to learn new programs and tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team

Work Environment:
- This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with the flexibility to work from both home and the worksite as per the Letter of Understanding between the City of Edmonton and Civic Service Union 52.
