Newlands Golf & Country Club is a unique golf and entertainment facility. Newlands is home to an eighteen hole championship golf course and an eleven hole executive golf course. We invite you to be a part of our Sales Team as a full time Jr Events Coordinator In this exciting and challenging role you will be accountable and responsible for assisting the Sales Coordinators to develop and maintain a sales portfolio comprising of weddings, corporate and social functions.
Key responsibilities include assisting the Sales team with building a new client base and expanding on the current client base; preparing contracts and maintaining up to date files to ensure proper coordination of the event. The Jr Events Coordinator will oversee the start of events, assist with wedding rehearsals and day of ceremony coordinating. Reception, reservations and small group bookings are also included in this position.
You are an energetic, self-starter with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a catering sales role at a banquet facility or hotel. You have strong organizational skills and a detail oriented commitment to superior customer service. You are proficient in Canva, Word, and Outlook. This position is 25-35 hours per week and requires evening and weekend shifts.
