Overview
Shutterlux LTD Window Covering is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Technical Consultant to join our team. This role combines sales expertise with technical knowledge of window coverings, providing personalized solutions to clients. The ideal candidate will excel in high-end sales, product demonstrations, and account management, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving business growth. Multilingual skills and experience in renovation or construction are a plus, enabling us to serve a diverse client base effectively. Duties
- Conduct in-home or off-site measurements, consultations to assess client needs and provide tailored window covering solutions
- Demonstrate products through detailed demos in store, highlighting features and benefits to encourage upselling opportunities
- Utilize company software for designing custom window treatments that meet client specifications
- Manage the sales process from initial contact through closing, including inside and outside sales activities
- Handle POS transactions and cash handling accurately during customer purchases
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through account management and follow-up communications
- Assist with merchandising displays and maintain organized showroom or display areas
- Collaborate with renovation and construction teams to ensure seamless installation and integration of products; independent installation for simple projects.
- Engage in marketing initiatives to promote new products, services, or special promotions
- Provide technical support and product expertise during installation or service appointments
Qualifications
- Proven experience in outside sales, retail sales, or high-end sales environments
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are highly desirable
- Familiarity with CRMs software, POS systems, Window Office Sofrware Excel and basic math for measurements and calculations
- Knowledge of renovation, construction processes, or related industry experience preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in product demos, merchandising, and account management
- Ability to perform product demonstrations effectively while upselling additional items or upgrades if applicable.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to negotiate effectively and build lasting client relationships
- Experience in marketing strategies related to retail or home improvement sectors is a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
