Job Summary:
We are a high fast beverage manufacturer located in Toronto and are currently looking for
Manufacturing Technician Operator to join our team. The candidate needs to have a min of 3 years experience and has mechanical skills. A trouble shooter and team player. This position is for our afternoon - late shift. Roles and responsibilities listed below
a. Responsible for leading production team on designated shift to achieve production targets while ensuring that Safety and Quality standards are met
b. Perform routine maintenance work including cleaning, inspection and lubrication to identification and correction of abnormalities on equipment.
c. Responsible for leading team to identify and correct defects on equipment and communicate to the maintenance department when necessary.
d. Develop changeover procedures and document centerline settings to improve overall equipment reliability and effectiveness.
e. Responsible for ongoing ownership of changeover documents and set up centerline accuracy to ensure they are updated and match team site documents.
f. Responsible for leading team to perform the standard operating procedures for start-up, shutdown, Changeover, Wash-Form-Sanitize and clean-up on the various equipment on the line with minimum possible downtime.
g. Assist in increasing the troubleshooting skills of operators on the equipment and processes in order to improve equipment uptime and reliability
h. Maintain, troubleshoot, and conduct preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance tasks to maintain the integrity of the equipment and sustain production.
i. Lead team to perform predefined cleaning, inspection, and lubrication tasks as scheduled in order to promote the culture of autonomous operational teams.
j. Lead and drive root cause analysis activities and implement corrective and preventative action plans for line losses for when necessary
k. Lead the continuous improvement activities of the plant. Responsible for leading team to identify areas of opportunities for improvement, define action plans, and implement Kaizens.
l. Develop projects with timelines and budgets to implement and execute any identified CI opportunities department in order to achieve annual departmental objectives.
Qualification:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)
- mechanical degree an assist
- min 3 years of manufacturing experience
- can work flexible shift day and afternoon shift as needed
