We are seeking a dedicated and professional Onsite Worker to join our team and contribute to meaningful outcomes for the individuals and communities we serve.
Position Summary
The Onsite Workers in the SAIL program are responsible for promoting the safety, security, and overall well-being of youth/young adults within the apartment community. Onsite Workers facilitate access to community resources, healthcare services, and other support networks while encouraging the development of independent living skills. They monitor the residential environment, address resident concerns in a professional manner, uphold program and building policies, maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and incidents.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform duties associated with the role of Onsite Worker.
- Providing support and supervision of clients residing in the SAIL apartments.
- Ensuring the security of apartment buildings, vehicles, and grounds.
- Daily documentation.
- Reviewing video footage, addressing observed concerns.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and culturally responsive environment.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum Grade 12
- Respectful of cultural diversity.
- Experience working with at-risk and/or vulnerable youth/adults is an asset.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous History, culture, practices, customs and beliefs is an asset.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check. Knowles will completer Prior Contact Checks.
- First Aid/CPR would be an asset, or training can be arranged upon hire.
