Omnitrans is looking for an Accounts Payable Technician to join the Finance team.
In this role, you will be coordinating day-to-day activities for invoice processing to ensure timely payment to suppliers.
Responsibilities:
Ensures invoices and entries are properly approved, documented, and recorded as incurred.
Charges expenses to accounts by analyzing invoices and expense reports.
Verifies overheads invoices, process payment through checks processing and collects additional information and documentation.
Reviews supplier statements: works on items indicated by Manager;
Maintains open communication with vendors.
Performs & reconciles monthly ARL payments to Canada Customs
Matches purchase order/packing slip against vendor invoices
Proceeds with manual entries to merge payments with Billing.
Contacts different departments to verify the accuracy of unbilled invoices.
Contacts Client Service Representatives for additional information; transmits files to departments if necessary or as required.
Contacts managers to get their authorization for payment of received invoices.
Helps AP Manager with the AP cleanup.
Covers AP Manager when needed during vacation or time off.
Performs data entry in the system for the Accounts Payables department.
Prints checks through Imanet system. Sets up electronic payments (i.e., EFT/ACH/WIRE Transfer).
Performs other general clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing
About you
Completion of College Diploma in Accounting.
More than 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable.
Possessing a strong understanding of accounting principles; (bank reconciliations, General ledger, etc.)
Bilingual
