Specific responsibilities of position :
ESCAPE MANAGEMENT, PROBLEM SOLVING & DATA MINING AND ANALYSIS
  • Steers 8D, REDx or DIVE processes at assigned suppliers.
  • Manages Quality Escape events in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Ensures implementation of robust permanent solutions to address nonconforming product with focus on product & process control.
  • Manages activities to address OEM intervention events at PWC customers.
  • Provides input to ECN dashboard and monthly KPIs.
SUPPORT INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CUSTOMER-RELATED PROCESSES
  • Leads or supports various recurrent and ad-hoc internal forums.
  • Controls PWC customer concession work flow to ensure timely approval.
  • Interacts through PWC IT platforms (i.e.: SAP, ENOVIA, PLM & XRM) to support resolution of issues impacting material flow performance.
  • Ensures adherence to Control Of Work Transfer requirements.
  • Ensures adherence to PPAP during management of supplier manufacturing process changes.
COLLABORATIVE INTERACTION WITH SUPPLIERS FOR DEPLOYMENT OF QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PLANS
  • Drives supplier Corrective Action Boards to ensure smooth accomplishment of activities to address quality escape events, cost of poor quality drivers and issues affecting on-time delivery.
  • Analyzes key product issues and identifies leading contributors to crate robust corrective action plans.
  • Drives supplier improvement plans to completion through onsite reviews and/or collaborative events.
  • Drives and/or reviews producer DFMEA/PFMEA documents to provide constructive feedback.
  • Leads initiatives to drive variability reduction at producers’ manufacturing processes.
  • Ensures supplier manufacturing instructions are adequate and consistent with product definition.
  • Supports UTC Supplier Gold to ensure supplier performance sustainability through quality and lean.
  • Prepares and supports executive management reviews for assigned suppliers.
Qualifications required :
  • Bachelor degree with 6 to 10 years experience
  • Master degree with 4 to 7 years experience
Field of studies :
Aeronautics, Quality Assurance, Aeronautical Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Production

Additional Information :
Experience with PFMEA and DFMEA techniques
Knowledge of UPPAP elements
Product audit process experience
RedX and 6-sigma knowledge an asset
Comfortable with usage of IT applications such as SAP, BW, Enovia RFA
ASQ certification an asset
Occasional travel required
Familiar with quality management of hardware under FAR25 Design Organization authority
