Water Treatment Engineering Manager

About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Process Engineering Manager is responsible for leading an engineering team to develop water treatment solutions and design, optimize, and plan pilots through full-scale chemical and biological water treatment facilities. This role will also provide leadership in the development of the larger engineering program for Ensero by establishing engineering standards and recruiting and developing talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior process engineering evaluation, design, and review of water treatment systems, including piloting test work and full-scale water treatment facilities.
- Responsible for client interface and scope coordination for projects
- Support other engineering projects as part of the Ensero Engineering Team.
- Maintain standards for process engineering throughout Ensero.
- Identify and recommend improvements to operations to ensure assigned functions are efficient and cost-effective.
- Support the development of project proposals for existing and future customers.
- Build and maintain great client relationships through ongoing communication and understanding of client goals.
- Travel to potential and existing work sites to interface with on-site staff, vendors, customers, and regulatory personnel.
- Provide technical input to projects within your area(s) of expertise.
- Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and professional development opportunities for the engineering team.
- Build team capabilities (recruitment, development, retention, etc.) and input into staff performance including goal setting, defining responsibilities, and determining priorities.
- Interfacing and communication with other managers on scheduling and resource requirements
- Manage special projects that support the broad-based needs of a rapidly expanding company
- Supports risk analysis with project management.
- Monitor and promote system environmental health and worker safety compliance.
- All other related duties as required.
About You
- Bachelor of Science in chemical or process engineering
- Professional Engineering designation
- 10+ years of process engineering experience in water treatment and water treatment facility design.
- Previous experience leading cross-functional teams and employees.
- Experience working in environmental consulting or project consulting settings.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
