As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for processing manual timesheets in the payroll system. To ensure accurate processing, you must stay up to date with all compliance regulations and labor standards for the jurisdictions you oversee, as well as all related company policies. A deep working knowledge of Workday processes and controls is essential to support the payroll process. Additionally, you will provide internal customer service as needed.

Your Responsibilities:

Process manual timesheets within payroll system, including review for accuracy and provincial compliance

Process weekly and biweekly payroll inputs
-
Meet all established deadlines
-
Reconciliations of assigned payroll general ledger accounts

Employment verifications
-
Provide internal and external customer service as required

Working with stakeholders

Reporting as required

Compliance knowledge related to assigned tasks

Investigate and resolve problems through working with HR, Workday System Administrators, IT and regulatory bodies (if applicable)

Participate in testing for Workday upgrades

Participate in projects and/or initiatives as assigned

Perform other tasks as required to assist and support the department and the company
Your Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to prioritize and manage competing demands

High level of accuracy and attention to detail required.

Ability to multi-task and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
Your Experience:
-
Post-secondary education in Payroll, Human Resources Management, business or related field
-
Payroll certification course (NPI), would be an asset
-
1-3 years’ experience in payroll field, or equivalent experience in accounting with some payroll processing experience. Financial acumen is required.

Knowledge and experience using Workday would be an asset.
