Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Grill Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is skilled at preparing steaks and seafood to perfection, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering high-quality dishes with consistency.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook grilled menu items, including premium steaks, seafood, and sides, according to Houston’s recipes and quality standards
- Ensure proper grilling techniques, cooking times, and temperatures for all meats and seafood
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards at the grill station
- Monitor inventory levels for grill station items and communicate needs to kitchen management
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during peak hours
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a grill cook or line cook in a high-volume restaurant
- Strong knowledge of meat cuts, grilling techniques, and cooking temperatures
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to consistency
- Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
