Job Summary
JKCE Probuild Contracting Corp. is seeking a Project Coordinator to support multiple construction projects across various stages of development and construction. This position will work closely with project managers, site superintendents, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to help ensure projects are organized, well-documented, and progressing according to schedule.
Our projects may include civil works, excavation, residential, and mixed-use construction projects throughout Great Vancouver area and Vancouver Island.
Position Summary
The Project Coordinator will support multiple construction projects through various stages, including pre-construction, estimating, procurement, construction, and project closeout. This role will work closely with Project Managers, Site Superintendents, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to help coordinate project activities, prepare tender packages, assist with estimating, and maintain project documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers and Site Superintendents on multiple construction projects.
- Assist with project planning, tendering, procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
- Review drawings and specifications and assist with quantity takeoffs and estimating.
- Obtain and compare quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
- Maintain project schedules, drawing logs, meeting minutes, and document control.
- Assist with permits, inspections, progress billing, and cost tracking.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance, insurance, and WorkSafeBC documentation.
- Support project closeout, deficiency tracking, and turnover activities.
- Assist with civil, excavation, residential, mixed-use, and renovation projects at various stages.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of construction project coordination, estimating, or related experience.
- Experience working for a General Contractor is preferred.
- Experience with estimating, quantity takeoffs, tendering, procurement, or subcontractor coordination is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar software is an asset.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of BC construction practices and WorkSafeBC requirements.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin is considered an asset but is not required.
- PMP certification, Gold Seal Certification (GSC), or progress toward professional certification is considered an asset.

Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
