Job Summary
As a Parts Consultant at Yorkdale Volkswagen, you will supply Volkswagen parts and accessories over the counter, through the shop, or by phone to customers and technicians. You will ensure accurate inventory management, maintain records, and provide exceptional service that meets brand and dealership standards. The role also includes promoting parts sales, supporting the Service Department, and participating in ongoing training and professional development.
Key Responsibilities

Greet and assist every client and technician courteously and promptly.

Handle parts orders and information requests efficiently via phone, email, and over-the-counter interactions.

Identify required parts accurately using dealership resources and parts catalogs, minimizing errors and returns.

Suggest and promote parts and service-related accessories to customers, using brochures and product displays as sales aids.

Achieve dealership goals for parts and accessory sales, counter tickets processed, and sales per repair order.

Maintain accurate records for all parts and inventory transactions, including invoicing, back-orders, and repair orders.

Monitor inventory levels, report discrepancies, and coordinate reordering or special orders.

Locate out-of-stock items from external sources and submit emergency orders when necessary.

Participate in ongoing training, meetings, and professional development programs to maintain product knowledge.

Assist with special projects, deliveries, or other duties as assigned by the Parts Manager or Assistant Parts Manager.

Work closely with the Service and Sales Departments to ensure seamless customer experiences and efficient operations.
Qualifications
-
Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Automotive or a related program, or 2+ years of automotive work experience. Experience with Volkswagen is an asset.

Prior parts handling experience preferred; automotive dealer experience an asset.

Technically knowledgeable and experienced with Volkswagen products.

Strong customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and other departments.

Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.

Flexible and open to change; willing to take on special projects as needed.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Hours

Full-time, up to 40 hours/week

Monday–Saturday, schedule may vary based on dealership needs
