Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
The Junior Distribution Centre Coordinator will join our clients team on a temporary contract. In this role, your dedication to pick accuracy, reliable supply, and strict product control will directly impact our guest experience, ensuring it meets exceptional standards. This position is a temporary backfill created to cover an employee leave of absence. You will ensure the continuity of day-to-day warehouse operations—including receiving, picking, shipping, and inventory control—maintaining our operational stability and service levels without disruption. This role supports our clients supply source providing shelf-stable food and catering products to all third-party catering uplifters, while actively supporting key internal business units including Central Baggage Services, Uniforms, IT, Cargo, and Airports.
Responsibilities
- Inventory & Warehouse Operations

Safely handle product according to established procedures across all stages: receiving, put-away, order selection, and shipping.

Perform put-away and stock rotation activities in line with FIFO (First In, First Out) and specific product handling procedures, including bonded goods.

Safely operate warehouse equipment, including electric pallet jacks and counterbalance forklifts, to maneuver product throughout the warehouse.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in alignment with company and compliance standards.

System Tracking & Documentation

Utilize the JDE ERP inventory system and RF Smart Scanners to process inbound receiving, verify quantities, check product conditions, and execute order picking.

Execute order assembly with full compliance to pick accuracy standards, strictly following correct product, lot, and expiry requirements.

Perform regular cycle counts, reconcile variances, and promptly correct system discrepancies to maintain real-time inventory accuracy.

Accurately process, file, and maintain daily operational documentation regarding the transfer of bonded products to ensure strict adherence to federal reporting requirements.

Communication & Shipping

Act as a key point of contact for third-party caterers and carriers, communicating critical information regarding shipping schedules, delivery issues, changes, or product substitutions.

Monitor, expedite, and ship products on a scheduled basis to ensure seamless, on-time delivery to all internal Business Unit partners.
Qualifications

1–3 years of experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution centre environment.

Familiarity using warehouse management/ERP systems (JDE preferred) and experience using RF scanners or similar handheld devices.

Physically able to handle repetitive warehouse work, including lifting and moving product weighing up to 80 lbs throughout the entire shift.

Nice-to-Haves (Assets)

Valid Forklift Certification (counterbalance or reach truck).

Previous experience handling bonded inventory or working within airline/regulated supply chain environments.

Working knowledge of airline logistics documentation and basic inventory control practices (variance reconciliation).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Exposure to Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement practices.
