We are seeking a reliable, professional, and service-oriented Private Family Driver/Chauffeur to assist a family in Vancouver with daily transportation, primarily involving school and activity drop-offs and pick-ups for three young children, as well as occasional errands and other family transportation needs.
The ideal candidate is punctual, responsible, well-presented, courteous, and proactive. We are looking for someone who takes pride in providing a high standard of service and understands that being a private family driver involves more than simply driving from one destination to another.
Responsibilities include:
- Safely transport family members to and from school, activities, appointments, and other destinations.
- Arrive 10–15 minutes early for scheduled pick-ups.
- Drop off and pick up children at the entrance or closest appropriate location rather than simply remaining in the vehicle.
- Open and close vehicle doors for passengers.
- Assist with children’s belongings, school bags, groceries, shopping bags, luggage, and other items as needed.
- Complete occasional errands for the family, both with and without family members present.
- Keep the vehicle clean, organized, polished, fuelled/charged, and presentable at all times.
- Maintain a professional and well-groomed appearance.
- Monitor traffic and plan routes in advance to ensure punctual arrivals.
- Communicate promptly regarding delays, schedule changes, or other issues.
- Maintain strict privacy and confidentiality regarding the family and their activities.
- Follow all traffic laws and safe-driving practices at all times.
- No handheld phone use while driving.
Requirements:
- Valid BC driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Excellent and confident driving skills.
- Strong knowledge of Vancouver and surrounding areas.
- Dependable, punctual, organized, and trustworthy.
- Comfortable and experienced driving with young children.
- Professional, respectful, and service-oriented attitude.
- Able to assist with bags, groceries, luggage, and similar items.
- Able to accommodate some flexibility in the family’s schedule.
- Previous experience as a private driver, chauffeur, executive driver, or family driver is an asset.
- References and a driver’s abstract will be required.
Pay: $18.25-$26.00 per hour
