Our client, a Ride-Share company, is looking for a Quality Technician for their Longueuil, QC location.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Quality Control Inspections: Conduct regular inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
- Testing and Analysis: Utilize various testing equipment, tools, and techniques to perform quality checks, measurements, and analysis of products or processes, and document results accurately.
- Document and Report: Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and audits, documenting any non-conformities or deviations found.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and communicate findings to the relevant stakeholders
- Quality Documentation: Assist in the development and maintenance of quality documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quality manuals.
- Help prototype and validate electromechanical products and test fixtures, as per designs provided by the engineering team
- Execute Durability, Electrical and Functional Validation Testing Activities for component, module and system level testing of our electronic products
- Execute test plans for all phases of product testing, using test scripts, test fixtures and manual testing, in collaboration with HW/SW design teams to support validation testing activities
- Manage Bill of Materials in the company’s PLM software (Arena)
- As a Production Quality Technician you will contribute to ensure adherence of products to the company’s quality requirements.
Requirements:
- Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in mechanical, electronics or industrial engineering, or in industrial automation, or equivalent Proven experience as a Quality or Engineering Technician, or in a similar quality control role.
- Able to read and interpret technical specifications, including design drawings and schematics.
- Basic design knowledge with either mechanical (SolidWorks, Ansys, etc.) or electrical (Altium, Eagle) design tools, an asset.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Able to work independently without supervision.
- Ability to lift/move 50lbs of equipment as required in a warehouse environment.
- Able to communicate in French and English effectively.
- French mandatory for this position.
- Proficiency in using measurement equipment, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve quality-related issues.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Sheet suite
