Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with attention to detail and consistency
- Handle all food preparation tasks including slicing fish, assembling rolls, and garnishing plates
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety standards
- Follow recipes and portion controls to ensure quality and cost efficiency
- Assist in managing inventory levels of ingredients, ensuring freshness and proper storage
- Support the team during busy service hours by efficiently executing meal preparation tasks
- Adhere to all health regulations and safety procedures related to food handling and sanitation
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with sushi or Japanese cuisine expertise
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation practices in a kitchen setting
- Demonstrated skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality
- Previous experience in the food industry or kitchen environment is highly desirable
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and food safety regulations is a plus
