The Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE) is currently seeking candidates for long term substitute positions available in our French Immersion programs at various HRCE school locations.
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education
- Eligible for a Nova Scotia Teacher’s Certificate through the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development - https://certification.ednet.ns.ca/
- Satisfactory French Proficiency Interview (FPI) through the HRCE’s French Program (see details below)

French Proficiency Interview:
Candidates for all French Second Language positions must also complete a French Proficiency Interview (FPI) with HRCE French Program Consultants who will assess the candidate's competency in French (oral and written). If you have not already completed an interview or need to be rescreened please book your virtual interview at http://bit.ly/HRCEFPI.
HRCE French Proficiency Interview results (emailed to candidate after completion of FPI) must be uploaded to your online resume.
