Studon Industrial Inc., a subsidiary of Stuart Olson Inc., is seeking an Insulation Planner with 2+ years’ experience. We are a team of dedicated people who take pride in the work we do, the exceptional customers we serve, and the communities we call home.

This position is located in the Red Deer, AB area on a client site.

Working Conditions

Work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions

Working in and around heavy equipment

Hazard awareness

Personal Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.

No camp or LOA provided


Plan Insulation PM’s and repair jobs.

Manage and maintain work backlog.

Report to the client’s Planning Leader.

Schedule and estimate man hours for specific activities

Other duties as requested by the Supervisor.


Journeyman Insulator

2+ years’ planner experience

Ability to read, understand and interpret terminology found in isometric drawings and line lists

Maintenance and/or plant facility experience

Valid government issued photo ID

OSSA Fall Protection

CSTS 0.9

Experience with Microsoft Projects, Word and Excel

Experience with SAP software and other computer softwares

Pre-site Drug and Alcohol testing

Good mathematical, scientific, mechanical, and logical reasoning abilities

Committed dedication to safety; reflected in practice and experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong focus on customer satisfaction

Physical Requirements

The ability to climb 4 stories or more

Stand or walk for long periods of time

The ability to lift 50 lbs. on a continual basis

The ability to work in lower level confined spaces for 3 hour periods

The ability to be exposed to various types of work environments

Use of various shop equipment and trade related hand tools

Use of ladders or scaffolding
