Job Type: Full Time (32-40 hrs/week) - $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
We’re looking for a friendly, passionate person to join our West Saanich team as a Produce Supervisor! In this role, you’ll help keep our produce department fresh, organized, and inviting, while making sure customers find the best fruits and vegetables. Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Assist with training and development of produce staff and supervise staff in various duties.
- Stocking and Display: Arrange and replenish produce displays, ensuring items are well-presented, labeled, and rotated.
- Quality Control: Inspect produce for freshness, and quality. Remove damaged or expired items promptly.
- Customer Service: Assist customers with their produce selections and answer questions.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the produce area clean and organized.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, track expiration dates, and communicate restocking needs to the department manager.
- Compliance: Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Availability: Must be available Friday through Monday.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot quality issues and maintain an attractive display.
- Customer Service Skills: Friendly, approachable, and willing to assist customers.
- Physical Stamina: Able to lift and carry heavy boxes and stand for extended periods.
- Team Player: Works well with colleagues and contributes to a positive work environment.
